samurroOne thing which came to my mind recently, why are both <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/pfsense" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#pfsense</a> and <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/opnsense" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#opnsense</a> based on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/FreeBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FreeBSD</a> instead of <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/OpenBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#OpenBSD</a>? If the latter is aimed at <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/security" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#security</a> it would be the best bet to use for such a critical system as a router. Are there any real technical reasons for it not being the base of such popular <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/router" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#router</a> operating systems? I am aware that you could configure <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/openbsd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#openbsd</a> to be used as a router. <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/networking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#networking</a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/BSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BSD</a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/SysAdmin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#SysAdmin</a>

These servers use external and internal views. I am just quoting our documentation here. My question is, if our internal DNS server is not reachable for whatever reason, is there any downsides to use the hidden primary as a fallback? PhilI have a very strange issue with my VPS. I am setting up wazuh for my personal use, and while the software seems to run just great, I'm unable to connect agents to it. 1. Wazuh does bind the ports (1514, 1515) properly. At least, netstat tells me to. 2. I can tcpdump on these ports, and see activity on 1515 (agent registration port). 3. The SYN packets never get a response from my VPS. It's like Wazuh is binding the ports, but isn't getting the packets or responding to them. I'm completely out of ideas. The Wazuh community Discord has been unhelpful, so far. I suspect ghosts. I head over to GitHub to take a look.I read that the only supported way to use the project is via Docker because "providing installation instructions, given the underlying complexity, would be impossible." Not a fan of that, but okay, I start to understand… So, as I often do, I decide to open the Dockerfile (there’s no Compose). First line:FROM alpine:3.14 AS baseNo, your project isn’t "just" complex. It’s running on an outdated and potentially insecure base. And that’s a much bigger problem.
